Learn how to overcome self-imposed obstacles.

Start saying YES to you and the wild, audacious dreams you didn’t even know you had.

Think mountain air, open spaces, stars at night, napping in a hammock.

Add in the deliciousness of yoga (both yin and vinyasa styles), heartfelt conversations, labyrinth walks, and a deep sense of belonging – to parts of you that perhaps you've lost touch with over the years, and to the shared energy of the group that is circled around you.

The Sunrise in Your Pocket retreat is for you if you have been wanting to get away to recharge but always come up with a reason that “this isn’t the right time.” Perhaps you are seeking a nurturing space to get out of your head and into your heart. Maybe you’ve been seeking connection – to yourself, to others, and to your deeper purpose.

You'll return home with a full heart, clarity,
and a roadmap to embody your inner strength and wisdom.

Say YES to YOU.

Find Belonging.

Leave the to-do lists at home and give yourself a weekend of play, rest, and connection.

Embody the Sunrise in Your Pocket

What is a sunrise in your pocket?

If there is one thing I know for sure is that we have everything we need and crave already within us – rooted in our inner strength and wisdom. Sometimes it is bold and audacious. Sometimes it is subdued and quiet. But it is always there. Just like the sunrise. Sometimes the sunrise is like a painting. Sometimes it is obscured by clouds. But here is the thing, you don’t need to see the sun rising each morning to know that it is there. To believe in it.

You carry the sunrise in your pocket, a deeply rooted inner strength and wisdom, with you everywhere you go. But sometimes we need a reminder to tap in. To believe it even if we can’t see it.

Why a retreat? Why THIS retreat?

It is time. Your time.

You often talk about creating space for YOU in your everyday life. But here is the thing…You think you can create this on your own. But you can’t.

You can’t when you are spending your time project managing the lives of everyone around you. Your life is GOOD. But there is always something to do that takes priority. Some reason or another to put off focusing on your dreams. Your self-care. You love your life but you’re keeping a lot of balls flying in the air.

You need time for you. A reset. A circle of women that encourage you to be vulnerable. To see and be seen.

The Sunrise in Your Pocket retreat is made for you. You’ll be nurtured by open spaces, beautiful grounds, hiking trails, delicious and nourishing food, yoga, and heart-centered reflections. And best of all, you can leave the to-do lists at home. The only decisions you’ll need to make are to decide if you want to hike, read, nap, or dream during your free-time.

This weekend retreat offers a mind/body/heart reset to help you release the self-imposed obstacles that you’ve put in your way, the stories that keep you stuck, and the pattern of waiting for the perfect conditions. You’ll learn how to reconnect to the sunrise in your pocket and create a personal roadmap to embody your inner strength and wisdom, no matter what life throws at you. Maybe you’ll even envision a new wild-audacious dream or two along the way.

What can you expect?

Here is the deal. I don’t offer guarantees. But I do promise that this weekend will create and hold space for you to…

  • Identify and release the stories that are keeping you stuck and the self-imposed obstacles that no longer serve you.

  • Cultivate self-compassion and curiosity over self-improvement and judgment.

  • Attune to the messages of your inner strength and wisdom.

  • Visualize and create your own heart-centered roadmap for the life you want to live.

  • Laugh. And maybe cry. And probably laugh again.

  • Connect to yourself, to nature, and to the circle of women around you.

Here’s a Peek Into the Retreat...

Your 2-nights of play and nurturing start with yin yoga and sunset peeking out beyond the Blue Ridge mountains.

Blissed out by sunset and yoga, you'll set intentions for the weekend and gather as a group for our scrumptious welcome dinner that will fuel your body and senses.

Don't forget the fire! We'll set fire to what is holding you back at the fire pit, under a sky of twinkling stars.

What about the rest of the weekend? We’ll breathe, visualize, move on our yoga mats (twice!), walk the labyrinth, and so much more.

What is the refund or cancellation policy?

There isn’t one. I’m asking you to go ALL in. To say yes fully.

I get it. Life happens. In the event of an unexpected medical or life-threatening emergency (on a case by case basis), we can work together to find someone else for your spot or find a way to work something out.

What do I need to bring?

You’ll get a full packing list as we get closer but for now:

This will be a casual weekend. Pack clothes for yoga and loungewear to wear around the campus or in shared spaces. You might even want fuzzy socks and slippers. The river is likely to be a bit cold for swimming, but a bathing suit never hurts.

  • Walking or hiking shoes to explore the campus

  • Your own yoga mat

  • Toiletries and . any other personal products that you might need/want

  • You will receive a journal

  • Consider a camera, books, magazines, and anything you'd like to have around during free time to help you unplug

  • Cell phones: You are welcome to bring your phone, but please be mindful of using it (as a phone) only in your room

What happens if it rains?

The good and bad news is that we cannot control the weather. We'll hope for sunny skies and lovely spring temperatures, but you never know. Rain boots make for fun puddle-jumping.

What if I don't know anyone?

You will make new friends! Most of the retreats that I have gone on, I've gone "solo" with the intent to meet new people. I promise, no one will bite. :)

What if I want to come with a group of friends?

That works too! Feel free to share the retreat with anyone you know. If you would like to split the double occupancy room, please specify those roommate requests on your registration form.

What type of food will be served?

Spa-like, healthy, organic and local food (including organically grown produce from the SevenOaks gardens) as much as possible. Please let us know if you have any dietary allergies or concerns on your registration form.

Is alcohol included?

Wine will not be served at dinners. But you are welcome to bring a bottle of wine to sip in the evening or with your new friends. Having said that, the focus for the weekend is to go into deeper connection with yourself, which involves finding clarity. (AKA – this is not a boozy weekend.)
