If you have wanted to get away to recharge but always come up with a reason that “this isn’t the right time,” and you’re seeking a nurturing space to get out of your head and into your heart – join us for a full day, just for you – in your own backyard!  

You often talk about creating space for YOU in your everyday life. But here is the thing…You think you can create this on your own. But you can’t.

You can’t when you are spending your time project managing the lives of everyone around you. There’s laundry. Family. Work deadlines. Emails that won’t stop. Potlucks to cook for. You love your life but you’re keeping a lot of balls flying in the air.

  • Identify and release your “fixing” triggers and the self-imposed obstacles that no longer serve you

  • Cultivate self-compassion and curiosity over self-improvement and judgment

  • Attune to the messages of your inner strength and wisdom

  • Visualize and write your own heart-centered narrative for the life you want to live

Participants will leave the retreat with a heart-centered narrative and daily mindset practices that they can integrate right away to embody their inner strength and wisdom to live the dreams they didn’t even know they had, in the now.

9:00 Opening introductions/set the tone, Breathwork

9:30 Yin Yoga practice Yin is a practice that invites us to explore and reveal that which is hidden. It is an opportunity to notice that what is practiced is also reflected. It is a practice that focuses on and highlights self-compassion instead of self-improvement. The practice is a physical expression of decluttering of both the fuzz that accumulates around the fascia (connective tissue) and the mental fog that keeps us from noticing and feeling into our essential selves. And while the physical and medicinal benefits of yin are essential to create space around the lines in the body, the emotional and spiritual benefits support a life that is built around being present in the moment, purpose, compassion, acceptance, and kindness towards the self.

10:45 Guided visualization & Coaching, Ritual to Release (morning snack available)

What are the stories and self-imposed obstacles you are ready to release? Name the stories and release them to create space for what is within.

12:00 Lunch

1:00  Guided visualization & group coaching

Now that you’ve released, what can you attune to? What would it look like to shift from self-improvement to self-compassion? What are you ready to receive? What strength and wisdom wants to emerge? What dreams want to emerge or are you ready to name?

2:00 Personal reflection/integration time (afternoon snack available) Participants will be invited to spend 30 minutes either indoors or outdoors, reflecting or listening to the messages within them. Prompts or activities (mindfulness coloring) will be available as options.

2:30 Group share/coaching/discussion Visioning (Conversation and workshop to create a vision board and write your own new story): What would it look like and feel like to live those dreams? What would you need or what would need to change to embody that vision?

4:00 Closing circle/meditation/share Final guided visualization, group sharing, concrete ways to integrate the new vision into daily life

Cost: $125 per person**

What is Included: yin yoga, guided visualization, group coaching by Elena Sonnino, a vision board workshop lunch , snacks, and a take-home journal for each participant.

**ALL net proceeds go to the Loudoun County Abused Women's Shelter (LAWS).
